Binance TH review: licensed LUNC/USDT for Thai traders

Binance TH, run by Gulf Binance, puts Binance’s LUNC/USDT order book inside Thailand’s licensed system with a 0.10% fee. The catches: no baht pair, a 25,000 LUNC withdrawal minimum and LUNC withdrawals paused when we checked.

Verdict and score

Binance TH is the Thai-licensed door to Binance’s main LUNC market. Its LUNCUSDT pair shares liquidity with Binance’s global book, so the spread is tight and orders fill at international prices. Trading fees on crypto pairs are 0.10%, lower than Bitkub’s 0.25%, and the app is the highest-rated of the four exchanges we reviewed for Turkey and Thailand. For buyers who already hold USDT, it is the cheapest licensed way to buy LUNC in Thailand.

The downsides are all about baht and exits. There is no LUNC/THB pair, so you convert baht to USDT first. The LUNC withdrawal minimum is 25,000 LUNC, with a 22.66 LUNC fee. And when we checked, LUNC withdrawals were disabled for wallet maintenance, on Binance TH and on Binance globally. We score it 7.4 out of 10, a hair above Bitkub, with the withdrawal status as the deciding caveat.

  • LUNC liquidity8.0
  • Fees7.0
  • Local funding5.5
  • Regulation & safety7.5
  • App & support9.0

How we scored it. Liquidity (8): the shared Binance LUNC/USDT book is deep, though the score stops short of Binance TR’s because the only local route into it runs through USDT. Fees (7): 0.10% on crypto pairs is good, but the fixed LUNC withdrawal fee and high minimum hurt small holders. Local funding (5.5): free baht deposits by PromptPay, but always a two-step buy. Regulation and safety (7.5): on the SEC licence list as exchange and broker, with no incident in our research. App (9): 4.81 stars from about 18,400 ratings on the Thai App Store.

Binance liquidity, Thai licence

When we compared trade IDs on Binance TH’s LUNCUSDT with Binance’s global LUNC/USDT market, they matched exactly. In plain terms, a Binance TH order goes into the same book as everyone trading LUNC/USDT on Binance worldwide. The bid-ask gap was a few hundred-millionths of a dollar, which is about as tight as LUNC gets, and fills come at the international price rather than a local premium. Our LUNC price page tracks that global price.

One side effect is that you cannot add Binance TH volume to Binance’s figures, because it is the same market counted twice. Another is that Binance TH lists the usual set of Terra tickers: LUNCUSDT for Terra Classic, LUNAUSDT for Terra 2.0 and USTCUSDT for the old stablecoin. On Binance TH “LUNA” is the other coin, the reverse of Bitkub, where LUNA_THB is LUNC. Our LUNC vs LUNA page explains the split.

Fees and the two-step cost

Binance TH’s fee FAQ, effective 30 April 2025, lists two VIP 0 rates: 0.10% maker and taker on “broker” pairs, and 0.25% on “exchange” pairs. From the page links, crypto-to-crypto pairs such as LUNCUSDT appear to be broker pairs and baht pairs appear to be exchange pairs, but the FAQ does not say so in one sentence, and baht-pair promotions come and go. Check the fee page before you trade.

Here is a worked example under that reading. Converting 10,000 baht to USDT at 0.25% costs 25 baht, and buying LUNC with the USDT at 0.10% costs about another 10 baht, roughly 0.35% in total. Bitkub charges 0.25% in one step on its baht pair. So Binance TH is only cheaper for baht buyers when a baht-pair promotion is running, or when you already hold USDT. The minimum order is 5 USDT and the lot size is 0.01 LUNC.

Baht funding and who can join

Baht deposits are free. You pay in by a single-use PromptPay QR code, reported at 100 baht to 4 million baht per transaction, or by bank transfer from an account in your own name. Baht withdrawals cost 20 baht at the standard tier, with a 100-baht minimum; Binance TH’s FAQs disagree on where the higher tier starts. Binance’s global exchange routes Thai users to Binance TH, and its peer-to-peer market had no baht ads at all when we checked, so Binance TH is the Binance option in Thailand.

Accounts are open to Thai nationals and foreign residents. Foreigners go through a dedicated verification flow with a list of accepted visa types, on which the Non-Immigrant B visa appears. Some holders of the Destination Thailand Visa reported refusals in July 2026; we could not confirm this. Trading through a licensed venue also keeps you inside the 2025–2029 personal tax exemption for crypto gains, explained in our Thailand LUNC guide.

Need USDT without a Thai bank account?

Binance TH prices LUNC in USDT. If you start from a card, the button opens a USDT on-ramp. It does not list LUNC and holds no Thai SEC licence, so Thai tax relief does not apply there.

How to buy LUNC on Binance TH

Five steps take you from baht to LUNC. The general how to buy LUNC guide shows the routes for other countries.

  1. Open and verify your account

Download the Binance TH app from the official site. Thai nationals verify with Thai ID; foreign residents use the foreigner flow and must hold an accepted visa.

  2. Deposit baht

Use a PromptPay QR code or a bank transfer from your own account. Baht deposits are free.

  3. Convert baht to USDT

Trade THB for USDT. Check whether a baht-pair promotion is running, as it changes the cost.

  4. Buy on LUNCUSDT

Search “LUNC”, not “LUNA”, which is Terra 2.0 here. The minimum order is 5 USDT. Use a limit order for larger amounts.

  5. Check the withdrawal status

Before buying to self-custody, open the LUNC withdrawal screen. If it says maintenance, coins stay on the exchange until it reopens. See our wallet guide for where to send them.

LUNC withdrawals, memo and burns

Binance TH publishes its network table openly, which is more than most exchanges in this series do. For LUNC on the Terra Classic network it lists a withdrawal fee of 22.66 LUNC and a minimum withdrawal of 25,000 LUNC, roughly a dollar’s worth at recent prices. When we read it, withdrawals were switched off with the note that the wallet was undergoing maintenance. Deposits were still on. Binance globally showed the same status, and neither said why or since when.

Every withdrawal also loses the chain’s 1.5% burn tax, set in proposal 12223 and changeable by a future vote. Binance has a tax-exemption zone on chain, but it covers only transfers inside the zone, so your withdrawal still pays. A labelled example: if you withdraw 100,000 LUNC once withdrawals reopen, the 22.66 LUNC fee and about 1,500 LUNC of tax come out, leaving roughly 98,500 LUNC in your wallet, depending on how the tax is applied.

Binance burns LUNC from its global spot and margin trading fees in monthly batches, tracked on our Binance LUNC burn page. Binance TH does not say whether its own fees count toward those batches, so treat any burn effect as a bonus, not a reason to choose it.

Licence and security record

Gulf Binance appears on the Thai SEC’s licence list as both a digital-asset exchange and a broker. According to the Bangkok Post, Finextra and Cointelegraph, the Ministry of Finance granted the licences on the SEC’s recommendation in May 2023. The SEC approved the start of operations on 10 November 2023, and the exchange moved from an invitation-only launch to the general public in early 2024. The joint venture pairs Gulf Energy’s Gulf Innova with the Binance group, whose entity is named differently in different reports.

We found no security incident at Binance TH. That is the absence of reports, not proof that nothing has happened. Being part of the Binance group cuts both ways: you get its infrastructure and liquidity, and you depend on its wallet decisions, such as the LUNC maintenance pause, which apply to the Thai platform too.

App and support

The Binance TH app holds 4.81 stars from about 18,400 ratings on the Thai App Store, the best score among the four Turkish and Thai exchanges we reviewed. It follows Binance’s familiar layout, so LUNCUSDT is easy to find. We did not test support response times. Binance TH held an event on 15 June 2024 titled “From Collapse to Resurrection LUNC?”, according to press reports, but it offers no LUNC staking product that we could find. For staking at about 2% a year net, see our LUNC staking guide.

Alternatives

Bitkub is the main alternative and the better fit if you start in baht: its LUNA_THB market is LUNC with a 10-baht minimum and a single trade. Bitazza’s LUNC markets sit on Bitazza Global, which the SEC charged in February 2026 as an unlicensed exchange, so we do not recommend it, and Upbit TH has no LUNC. Turkish readers can compare Binance TR, the Binance sister platform with a lira pair. Every venue we verified is on our LUNC exchanges page.
